New iPhone 2.2 software PDF Print E-mail

Ok, so I installed the new iPhone 2.2 software this week and this is my really quick review on it. Rather than point our the obvious things that it is still missing, I will talk about the things that I do like.

Safari Searchbox.

The iPhone has a pretty small screen compared to a full computer and the new software puts the searchbox on the same line as the address bar. This is nice because it makes it easier for my clumsy thumbs to get to and use. Also, I am just used to it being there since I started using Firefox a really long time ago.

Google maps.

The walking directions are cool and so is the public transportation directions. Not that I use them, but I see the value for people in major cities. My iPhone is such an important tool for me that I can see this coming in extremely handy for many people.

Podcast on Wifi.

This is my favorite. I listen to Way of the Master radio on my iPhone and now that I have started my own Website Design Company in Rochester MN, I don't have much time to launch iTunes and wait for the download. This allows me to stop in the Burger King or Panera Bread parking lot and get my daily fix of Todd Friel, Ray Comfort, and Kirk Cameron bring to gospel message to the 'tens and tens of listeners'. That is it for now. Please checkout my new website that focuses on Search Engine Optimization and tell me what you think of it. Thanks!
